Storchenturm - Torwächterhaus

Die Jahreszahl auf dem straßenseitigen Türsturz verweist auf die Errichtung im Jahr 1614.

Die Sandsteingewände des ursprünglichen Zugangs und des daneben liegenden Fensters sind im Stil der späten Renaissance mit Kehle und Wulst gearbeitet.

Der Türsturz trägt neben dem Baujahr Schifferzeichen und Namensinitialen. Sie können für die murgschifferschaftliche Familie Kast (Marta Kast) und ihren zweiten Gatten Michael Völcker stehen.

Zeitweise diente das Haus als Unterkunft für den oberen Torwächter und sollte in der ersten Hälfte des 19. Jahrhunderts zunächst für einen Gefängnisaufseher, danach – während einer Choleraepidemie – zu einem Krankenhaus umgebaut werden.

Gate Guard’s House

The year on the lintel shows that the house was built in 1614.

The sandstone jambs of the original access and of the adjacent window are modeled in late Renaissance style with convex and concave moldings.

The lintel shows the year of construction, some so-called „Schifferzeichen“ (signs characteristic of individuals involved in timber business) und initials which might point to the timber trading Kast family (Marta Kast) and her second husband Michael Völcker.

The access to the tower from street level was not created earlier than 1891.

Temporarily, the house served as accommodation for the upper gate’s guard. In the first half of the 19th century there were plans to change it into a housing for a prison guard and later on – during a cholera epidemic – it should be turned into a hospital.

L'année sur le chemin de l'établissement en 1614.

Les murs de grès de l'entrée et la fenêtre à côté sont de style Renaissance avec une gorge et un renflement.

En plus de l'année de construction, le linteau appartient à la marque du navire et aux initiales du nom. Ils peuvent représenter la famille Kast (Marta Kast) et leur deuxième mari Michael Völcker.

Parfois, la maison était utilisée comme propriétaire pour le gardien et était dans la première moitié du 19ème siècle pour un surveillant permanent, dans l'épidémie de choléra - dans un Krautankenhaus.

La fecha en el dintel de la puerta que da a la calle indica su construcción en 1614.

El marco de arenisca de la entrada original y la ventana adyacente están tallados en estilo renacentista tardío con un valle y una protuberancia.

Además del año de construcción, el dintel de la puerta lleva la marca y las iniciales del barco. Estas podrían referirse a la familia Kast (Marta Kast) y a su segundo marido, Michael Völcker, miembros de la familia naviera Murg.

Durante un tiempo, la casa sirvió como alojamiento para el portero principal. En la primera mitad del siglo XIX, se convirtió, primero para un guardia de prisión y luego, durante una epidemia de cólera, en un hospital.

La data sull'architrave della porta lato strada indica la sua costruzione nel 1614.

I contorni in arenaria dell'ingresso originale e della finestra adiacente sono scolpiti in stile tardo rinascimentale con una conca e una bombatura.

Oltre all'anno di costruzione, l'architrave della porta reca il marchio e le iniziali della nave. Questi potrebbero riferirsi alla famiglia Kast (Marta Kast) e al suo secondo marito, Michael Völcker, membri della famiglia di armatori Murg.

Per un certo periodo, la casa servì come alloggio per il guardiano anziano. Nella prima metà del XIX secolo, fu trasformata prima in un carcere e poi, durante un'epidemia di colera, in un ospedale.
