Das historische Gasthaus wurde durch einen Großbrand in der Altstadt 1787 zerstört und danach wieder aufgebaut.
Im Eckbalken des Obergeschosses findet sich das eingravierte Baujahr 1788 und ein goldfarbener Bock im Hexagramm als Zeichen des Brauereirechts und Bierausschanks.
