Kornhaus

1471 als „Kaufhaus“ des Gernsbacher Korn- und Fruchtmarktes erwähnt. In späteren Jahren als Rathaus genutzt. Mehrmals, zuletzt beim Stadtbrand von 1798, zerstört.

Um 1800 nach Plänen des Karlsruher Architekten Friedrich Weinbrenner (1766-1826) zunächst als Kaufhaus und Amtskanzlei (bis 1822) wieder errichtet. Erfüllte vielfältige Funktionen der Stadt, so als Industrie- und Spinnschule und seit 1865 als Gewerbeschule.

1992-1994 umfassende Sanierung des Gebäudes und Wiederherstellung des ursprünglich offenen Säulenganges.

Granary

Mentioned in 1471 as „Kaufhaus“ (large store), part of the Gernsbach grain and fruit market. Later on used as town-hall. Several times destroyed, most recently at the fire in 1798.

About 1800 newly erected according to plans of the Karlsruhe architect Friedrich Weinbrenner (1766-1826) firstly as large store and public office (until 1822). The house served many municipal functions, for example it housed an industry and spinning school and after 1865 a commercial school.

1992-1994 the building was comprehensively renovated and the originally open portico was restored.

Maison appelée „Maison du Grain“

Mentionnée en 1471 comme „magasin“ appartenant au marché aux grain et aux fruits de Gernsbach. A servi de mairie par après. Détruite plusieurs fois, la dernière lors de l’incendie en 1798.

Reconstruite en 1800 env. d’après les plans de Friedrich Weinbrenner (1766-1826), architecte originaire de Karlsruhe, à l‘origine comme magasin et chancellerie (jusqu’en 1822). A ensuite assuré de nombreuses fonctions urbaines: école industrielle et de filature d’abord, puis en 1865 école professionnelle.

Entre 1992 et 1994 réhabilitation du bâtiment et reconstruction du passage à colonnes, ouvert à l’origine.
